Our Mission

Janus Institute For Justice, LLC is an alliance of diverse individuals from various academic, professional and cultural backgrounds committed to the advancement of environmental and social justice through education, legal and legislative initiatives, advocacy and activism, social media, volunteerism, community outreach and other forms of non-violent, civic engagement. 

Janus Institute For Justice believes a more healthy, sustainable and equitable existence is possible. We do not accept the status quo. Instead, we believe we have a social and moral obligation to confront and combat systemic environmental and social injustices within our communities and beyond. We offer an array of services, including customized environmental and social justice training, educational seminars, community programs, event speakers, consultation, outreach initiatives, referrals and multi-level organizational support.

We work closely with our socially responsible clients and partners to develop strategies, programs, initiatives and solutions aimed at ameliorating the gross disparities that currently define our generation. Individuals and organizations that utilize our services learn to quickly and successfully identify, assess, and respond to social and environmental injustices within their industry and community.

I. Malik Saafir,
President & Founder

I. Malik Saafir is an educational consultant in Little Rock, Arkansas. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy and History from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock where he was a Ronald E. McNair Scholar.  He holds a Master of Divinity from Vanderbilt Divinity School where he was a Kelly Miller Smith Scholar.  He has devoted his career to the study of the intersection between religion, ethics, and culture, seeking to bridge the gap between the academy and community. 

I. Malik Saafir believes in developing strategic partnerships between non-profit and for-profit organizations for social change.  His work includes customized training for organizations to promote awareness, advocacy, and activism based on environmental justice.
